He continued his education at Southern Illinois University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Workforce Education. A native of Sumter, South Carolina. and is the Senior Pastor of the Historical Zion Hill Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. He is the Co-Founder of the AvinJohn CDC and one of the brain child’s of the Solomon’s Initiative Project. He serves as VP of Operations of AvinJohn CDC and heads the steering committee of the Solomon’s Initiative Academic Boarding School.
